Dynamic multi-level capacitated and uncapacitated location problems: an approach using primal-dual heuristics
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper several dynamic multi-level location problems are formulated as mixed-integer linear programs. Both uncapacitated and capacitated versions of the problem are studied. The models presented are more complete than the ones known from the literature: they are dynamic and consider the possibility of a facility being open, closed and reopen more than once during the planning horizon. They may include both upper and lower limits on the used capacity of each facility and may also consider the situation where there is no flow conservation in the intermediate facilities. Primal-dual heuristics were developed to solve efficiently the proposed models. Computational results are presented and discussed.

Dynamic Mean Value Cross Decomposition Algorithm for Capacitated Facility Location Problems
In this article, we propose a practical algorithm for capacitated facility location problems (CFLP). There are some approaches which can obtain primal solutions while simultaneously exploiting the primal structure and the dual structure. One of these approaches is the mean value cross decomposition (MVCD) method that ensures convergence without solving master problems. However, MVCD has been pr...
متن کاملA Comparison of Four Multi-Objective Meta-Heuristics for a Capacitated Location-Routing Problem
In this paper, we study an integrated logistic system where the optimal location of depots and vehicles routing are considered simultaneously. This paper presents a new mathematical model for a multi-objective capacitated location-routing problem with a new set of objectives consisting of the summation of economic costs, summation of social risks and demand satisfaction score. A new multi-objec...
متن کاملHeuristics for the multi-item capacitated lot-sizing problem with lost sales
This paper deals with the multi-item capacitated lot-sizing problem with setup times and lost sales. Because lost sales, demands can be partially or totally lost. To find a good lower bound, we use a Lagrangian relaxation of the capacity constraints, when single-item uncapacitated lot-sizing problems with lost sales have to be solved. Each subproblem is solved using an adaptation of the O(T ) d...

متن کاملNear Linear Time Approximation Schemes for Uncapacitated and Capacitated b-Matching Problems in Nonbipartite Graphs
We present the first fully polynomial approximation schemes for the maximum weighted (uncapacitated or capacitated) b–Matching problems for nonbipartite graphs that run in time (near) linear in the number of edges, that is, given any constant δ > 0 the algorithm produces a (1 − δ) approximation in O(mpoly(δ−1, logn)) time. We provide fractional solutions for the standard linear programming form...
